Shemesh was founded by Avigayil Ishakis, a mother of a non-verbal child with autism. She understands the questions, the overwhelm, and the hope you carry. That’s why we treat every child and family with the compassion and clarity we’d want for our own.

CAMP SHEMESH
At Camp Shemesh, each session is thoughtfully designed to provide a fun, engaging, and supportive experience for children with autism while promoting independence and personal growth. Campers will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and sensory-friendly experiences throughout the summer. Highlights include visits to the Botanical Gardens with a special butterfly experience, horseback riding and gardening activities, exciting animal encounters, and interactive exploration at the Children’s Museum. Each week also includes opportunities for swimming and water play, helping campers stay active and cool while building confidence, social skills, and self-confidence. Our program blends nature, creativity, and discovery to create a joyful, enriching environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

Shemesh supports children ages 3 through adolescence, with a specialized track for teens with autism. Our program builds independence and community connection through weekly excursions that develop real-world experiences and skills coupled with our specialized curriculum to reach each child’s goals.
